Report: Bears can give McCown chance at beginning QB job

One next day of Bears coach Lovie Cruz prevented definitively naming a beginning quarterback with this weekend's game from the Eco-friendly Bay Packers, ESPNChicago.com reported multiple sources in confirming Tuesday that Josh McCown will get an chance to accept job from Caleb Hanie.

Based on ESPNChicago.com, McCown usually takes over for that Christmas Day game, for the way he looks used now. McCown told the web site he's "no clue" if he'll start from the Packers.

"I am just gonna get myself ready like I have done each week, after which we'll see what goes on,Inch he stated.

Hanie put three interceptions, a couple of that have been came back for touchdowns, and completed just 10 of 23 passes for 111 yards and something TD in Sunday's 38-14 loss towards the Dallas Seahawks. McCown connected on a couple of passes for 12 yards with one interception after reducing Hanie.

McCown expressed support for Hanie on Monday, telling the Chicago Sun-Occasions that he's "the final guy who sits there and states, 'I hope this person struggles in order to play.' Everyone has Bears uniforms on. We’re a part of this team together, and also you would like your team to complete well."

"So no one's rooting for Caleb a lot more than me," he stated. "Your heart breaks for him."

McCown, 32, last saw significant National football league action in 2007, when he began nine games for that Concord Raiders, tossing for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He signed using the Bears on November. 23 after beginning quarterback Jay Cutler went lower having a damaged thumb on his tossing hands.
